The Rally Car is the car for the Rally environment. It appears to be based on a Renault 5 Turbo, however, during gameplay, what appears to be a volkswagen logo can be seen at the back of the car. It has powerful acceleration but tends to skid due to its low traction, so it is often preferable to brake before a turn.

History[]

The Rally Car is one of two cars for which the model has changed at some point, the other being the American Car. The original model did not have a spoiler nor a grill at the front; these were added in Trackmania: Power Up!. The new model continued to be used for Trackmania Original, Trackmania United and Trackmania United Forever. However the old model was brought back for Trackmania DS and Trackmania: Build to Race.

Trivia[]

  • In Trackmania² Pursuit, the RallyCar is described as follows:
    • DESCRIPTION
      • The Rally Car isn't beginner-friendly, not a good idea to choose if the map doesn't feature lots of asphalt. The car slides on medium speeds. It is pretty good on off- road. Accelerates pretty fast, almost like the Desert Car. The car is tuned for analog driving.
    • PROS & CONS
      • ✓ It has wonderful acceleration.
      • * It's slippery on the roads.
      • * Hard to control with a keyboard.
  • The base of the car corresponds to a Renault R5 Turbo.
  • The engine sound is the same used by the StadiumCar in its early versions and the Island Car.
  • The engine is a non-turbo inline 4 cylinder. That is contradictory, since the R5 Turbo had a turbo in real life, so in the game model it does not.
  • The real life model had the engine in the central part. However, the engine is placed in the front, since nothing of the engine is visible in the central part of the car.
    • Another detail is the spoiler, since in the real model it did not have it.
